It's Monday and I have plenty of errands to do today. I'm here procrastinating and doing laundry when I should be getting dressed but the thought of going out there in that heat is pulling me more to stay indoors where is cool! Things must be done though, important things so after this post off I go.

I said I was going to post pictures of the lasagna I made on Friday and here they are. It was tasty but not as tasty as I would have liked but a mis hijos les encantó/my children loved it and that's what's important to me! Like we say in PR se dejó comer!

Ok, so I'm late with my PhotoHunt again! Didn't have internet access yesterday for most of the day. Tried calling them (cable) and the phone was busy until I gave up calling, whatever it was had to be big for the phone to be busy. Thankfully everything is working now.

It's a hot and gloomy day and I don't feel like doing anything! I have a bunch of things to do including keep doing laundry, cook dinner and shred tons of papers that are pilled up on my dinning table, my desk and bedroom. Hopefully I will get to everything today and I won't let my sleepiness get to me!

TGIF! I'm planning on enjoying my day so I prepared dinner early. I made lasagna, later all I have to do is put it in the oven and dinner will be done in less than an hour! Yes! I'll post pictures of it later.

Too hot to be in the kitchen for a long time. All this week I have made easy/fast things for dinner, lol. I've made sandwiches, mac & cheese with fried chicken & then sandwiches again! Tomorrow will be tacos a la Taco Bell and Sunday I don't know yet. What do you cook when it's hot that is fast and easy?

Thursday Thirteen & Thursday Thunks!

Time for Thursday Thirteen, yes I'm late with this one, lol. Sorry but have been busy with appointments and life. Not to mention some of the meds side effects haven't gone away so sometimes that slows me down.

1. Mascara - I'm going to back to Maybelline's Big Lash though.
2. Face scrub - I buy the big size because it brings lots of more grains.
3. Blush
4. Lash curler - A must have!
5. Eyebrow mascara - Color natural. To tame my eyebrows and make them a bit darker.
6. Powder foundation - Normally I use Mac Studio Fix + Foundation but again, budget!
7. Lip Gloss
8. Leave in Treatment from Infusium 23
9. Concealer - It's expensive but it last a long time because it brings a good amount.
10. Highlighting eye shadow - I use the Matte color.
11. Pressed powder - Blot
12. Eyeliner - Used to use one from Almay but it didn't last long & I'm on a budget!
13. Eyebrow filler - Couldn't find the one I have, it was discontinued by Mac! Nooo!

So glad is Friday again! It was nice day to walk around or go to the park. Me, I went out to run errands and in a bit have to go out again to run more errands, lol. Had to drop off some stuff and rest my feet. I'll just pretend I was at the park all day since I got a suntan from all the walking!

My allergies are driving me nuts though so I'm a bit cranky. Even the kids allergies are acting up. We have a cat and we adore him so getting rid of him is not an option. He is the first pet mis hijos/my children have ever had. Right now he's spread on the floor looking at me with his cute little eyes, lol. I blow kisses at him and he moves his tail, lol.

Talking about my cat. Last night I fell asleep on the sofa, he heard me snoring (yes I snore when I'm tired) and thought it was safe to climb on my my chest. I wake up scared and though it was my daughter throwing herself on me, lol. I picked him and said to no, no, no! All you could see was his claws clinging to mi bata/my nightgown as I picked him to put him on the floor, lol. I felt bad but I didn't wanted to get a sneeze attack...

Time to make a list of things to get before school starts. I leave the school supplies for last because I don't want to get the wrong things and then I'm stuck with it. For now we'll get the clothes, shoes etc.

I already know what type of shoes my son wants. He wants something comfortable and sturdy that he can use for gym and not have to carry an extra pair of shoes. My daughter wants a pair of black boots. She's been bugging me about it for months! Up until now we couldn't find one she liked that weren't really expensive!

Of course she also wants a nice big bag to go with the boots so she can carry all her books and don't have to worry that it's going to break like it happened to her last one. My son needs a backpack and he already told me which one he wants so all I have to do it order it and voila. One more thing of the list. Are you done with your list? Pin It Now!

Am I seeing things or she's disappearing before our eyes. Each time I see a picture of her she's thinner! I saw the picture below where she's with her son while reading people.com and I couldn't believe it was her at first. I looked at another picture taken days apart and it is her. Look at her face in the first picture with her son and her arms on the one below. She's so so thin!

I'm not poking fun at her at all. I'm sad that no one seems to point out or choose to ignore that she's extremely thin because she's Angelina Jolie and they don't want to say anything bad about her. If you look at the other pictures I posted you can see how she used to look. She wasn't heavy at all, she looked healthy and she looked beautiful.

I know she's extremely busy and she has 6 kids but I'm sure she has a nanny, maids and chefs that cook for her. She wears layers of baggie clothes and in dark colors I guess to cover how thin she is. I hope someone will say something to her or she will get to a healthy weight on her own if not for her for her kids. Angelina, Mami there is nothing wrong with putting on 20 pounds and having a few curves, take it from a Latina!

Another Friday goes by! Not too happy this morning with all the noise going on, someone has been drilling in the street for over half hour now and it's only 8 AM. Why oh why they couldn't wait until 10 AM?!

Can't believe it's already August, summer has gone by fast and I feel like we haven't done anything but stay in and watch movies most of the time. Thankfully mis hijos/my children don't mind. I want to go to Central Park again and to the zoo before the summer is over. We haven't been to the zoo in years so it should be fun!

My Newest TV Addiction!

I am hooked on Warehouse 13! I forgot to record the first episode but I had received an email with the episode from Amazon.com. Started watching it but never finished it because kept putting it off. Finally after I had recorded the next three episodes decided to watch them all and I'm totally hooked! So is my daughter. Thank God the episodes are available online. I had to watch the last 5 to 10 minutes of each episode online because the wrestling show runs long and it cut off the show before it ended! I record the repeats after it airs because I have other shows I record, lol.

There is great chemistry between the actors and the stories are good. I love Myka's (Joanne Kelly) and Pete's (Eddie Mcclintock) characters with all of their quirks, lol. Not to mention Artie (Saul Rubinek), I don't think anyone else can play that character better than him. I hope the show gets renewed and we are not left hanging after we take the time to watch the show. If you would like to check it out you can still catch up online, click where it says full episodes! I remember the days when we could just tune in to MTV or VH1 and watch videos for hours! I miss those days, now we have to wait until 3 AM to be able to see an hour or two and they show more commercials than anything else. I don't bother and I just look for them online although the quality is not good and it's a little window! Here are three new videos from Shakira, Britney and Mariah.

I enjoy videos that tell a story and when the singer changes her/his look. Out of the three videos I enjoyed Shakira's the most. Was a bit disappointed with Britney's but maybe is because it's a tiny window and can't appreciate the whole thing plus I'm used to seeing her dancing. Mariah's was a bit weird with her dressed as a man but I liked it. Although I'm starting to think the whole thing with Eminem and her is just a stunt to get people to buy their albums.

Movies & Life!

I'm here enjoying my Saturday (so far) catching up with the internet world. My daughter has been using the computer a lot and by the time I have a chance I'm sleepy or I'm busy with something else. Not to mention that my meds have my system all messed up. I have to get my sleep schedule back to normal. I'm sleepy one minute and the next I'm fully awake! I overslept so tonight I'm not going to be sleepy until late, again. Good thing I have to empty my DVR! Sucks we didn't get our Netflix movies today but that's what happens when you procrastinate to get to a mailbox, lol.

I finally saw Twilight and I know people might get upset for me saying this but I was a bit disappointed with the movie. I haven't read any of the books so I'm not familiar with the whole story yet. I'm more of a visual person and like I have said before I like the element of surprise in a movie so I don't like reading about it ahead of time. I had seen the trailer and I knew not to expect too much. So here it goes, isn't Twilight a movie about vampires? Where are the fangs? Now, I don't know if in the books they don't have fangs either or if it was just for the movie. It was just weird to see a movie about vampires with no fangs. Another thing was the special effects, the parts where they were running and jumping. I felt like I was watching an old Chinese movie, those effects could have been a lot better. I'm assuming that since the movie did so well in theaters they will have a bigger budget for the second and third movie and the effects will improve big time!

When I first heard about the movie (first time I ever heard about the book) and who were going to play the main characters I thought Kristen Stewart was perfect for the role. I had just seen the movie The Messengers and I thought she was great in it but there parts in Twilight were I cringed a bit. My son ended up watching most of it because my daughter was using the computer and he felt the same way and so did my daughter. Although I was a bit dissapointed I am looking forward for the second and third because I want to see the improvement, I like the story so far and I LOVE the vampire genre!

After the movie finished we went on to the extra features and saw the video where they were at the Comic Con. It was fun to see them out of character and answering the fans questions but one thing I noticed was and I'm not the only once who noticed. Kristen Stewart looked like she didn't wanted to be there and she looked a bit like shit. The Blogger from The Couch Potato noticed it also and said it best!

Another movie I rented was City of Ember that was also based on a book that I haven't read either. I didn't know about the book until the I rented the movie. These days is hard to find a movie to see with your kids that doesn't have some sexual innuendo, too much violence and cursing. Well this movie you can sit, relax and enjoy it. Great movie to watch with your family. The visual effects are top notch (like another reviewer said) and the colors gorgeous. It pulls you in and we only wish it would've been a longer movie. Some questions were left unanswered and I wanted to see more of the other characters, like Tim Robbin's character. I was pleasantly surprised with it and mis hijos/my children too. They enjoyed it so much we saw it twice...♥
