I can’t wait to say those two little words that every little girl dreams about from the day she is old enough to play with dolls. “I do.” I’ve dreamed about finding my prince charming and marrying him. Now those dreams have become a reality. It’s just like Cinderella. Except they don’t show Cinderella and Prince Charming trying to compromise on major decisions such as registering for dishes, choosing a house, etc. Certainly a test of your relationship before you take the plunge on the big day, but nothing we can’t handle. My point is, there are lots of details that have to be decided upon in order to set up our soon-to-be new life together. We are both New Yorkers so there was no doubt we were going to stay here. We found our house, closed on it and went to work lining up utilities. It was a little overwhelming so we split them. I chose our cable and phone providers very quickly. I wanted to do a little more research and after looking into New York Energy Suppliers, chose our energy provider as well. He had internet, security system and water providers to set up. Once that is done, the house should be ready to start moving our stuff into and meshing two lives into one!

Moving Away.

I just moved away from my best friend in the entire world. I don’t know what I was thinking. I thought I needed a change in my life, but now I am starting to second guess myself. For years, my best friend was just a block away. I knew I could always count on her. Last week was not any different. She spent the entire week making sure I was settled into my new apartment. She helped me pick out all the new paint colors. She arranged my power installation by going to texaselectricityproviders.com. She even helped me unpack and organize all of my stuff.

I don’t know what I would have done without her and I don’t know what I am going to do without her. I am hopeful that I will be able to talk her into moving out here, but I don’t know. She has always been one of those people that is set in their ways, but there is always a chance. I guess there is also a chance that I will move back there. Who knows?

Stay Cool, Save Cash!

It's going to be HOT one today! Centers are going to be open around the city for those who need a place to cool down. When it gets hot like this we tend to use a lot more electricity because we want to keep the air conditioner on all day long. Mis hijos/my children want to keep it on all day but I tell them no way. I keep the air conditioner on until it gets cool and then I turn on the fan. Here are some tips from Con Edison about what you can do to save electricity and save some dinero at the same time!

My Con Edison bill has been through the roof lately because of this weather. I'm sure a lot of people out there are going through the same thing. At times like these is good to know can we can call Con Edison and ask for an extra 15 days to pay the bill. I admit it, I have called more than once. Sin verguenza ninguna/Without any shame. Turn Off Your Lights Tonight - Earth Hour 2009

I realize I might be a bit late blogging about this but I thought if I can spread the word even hours earlier why not. I was doing a google search when I saw the link for Earth Hour 2009. It took me a minute to realize today is March 28! Duh, lol. So people take out your candles tonight and Vote Earth! Turn off your lights for one hour from 8:30PM to 9:30PM local time.
