Freebies!

PhotobucketI got a freebie in the mail from Latina magazine. It brighten up my day, lol. I mean who doesn't love to get freebies in the mail? It's a string sling backpack. Perfect for when you don't want to carry a purse around. My daughter is going to make good use of it that's for sure. Thanks to Latina magazine!

I also received some coupons for Land o Lakes eggs from Vocalpoint. Problem is that unless I go to Target to buy the eggs I won't be able to use the coupons. The supermarket I go to doesn't take coupons. I have to go today to do grocery shopping so I'm going to ask again. The last time they looked at me like I was from another fucking planet. Pissed me off. You would think I was at a posh supermarket! I guess some places don't want to deal with the extra hassle of having to do coupons unless is from their own store. It sucks because these days I need to save on everything I can.

Talking about savings. I cut off my phone with Cablevision over a year ago. The triple play promotion I had expired so I was being charged full price for the phone and internet. I decided I wasn't going to throw my money out the window like that. Yo no soy rica!/I am not rich! I now use MagicJack, but to my surprise the company just raised their prices. From $19.95 to $29.99 for the regular MagicJack. Guess it was a matter of time. I forgot I needed to renew mine, found out when I went to make a call and got the message. That's how little I use the phone. I tried renewing my plan but their site wouldn't take my card. They put a trouble ticket but never got back to me. Right now I can only receive phone calls so of course I have been in need of using the phone a lot lately. Hay que joderse! Have to contact them to see if they will still give me the old price since it wasn't my fault that their site wouldn't take my card. Wish me luck!Photobucket

I Love Freebies!

I love freebies, I subscribe to two blogs that are about freebies. Yesterday it paid off because I got 2 free products with 2 coupons I received in the mail! I went to Walgreens and saved almost $10. I left a happy woman. What did I get for free? A bottle of 24 Advil liquid gels and a Cottonelle Wipes tub with a free wall hanger! How cool is that.

I don't use coupons often because the supermarket around here doesn't accept coupons unless it is from their own store. I can only use them at Target and I rarely go there anymore. Have to take the train to get there and I can't afford it. So I am happy I was able to use those two coupons and better yet it was free! Freebies get me out of trouble all the time when I run out of things. I ♥ freebies!! Do you?

Another Marshalls Store Is Opening!

A new Marshalls store is opening in Manhattan tomorrow Thursday 28 at 8AM! Who said the economy is bad, lol. I'm kidding, the people from Marshalls don't seem to think so. They are opening stores left and right everywhere!

As usual if you want to receive their new reusable shopping bag, get there early. The bag will be given to the first 1,000 customers only.

Easy With Boost Mobile!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Boost Mobile. All opinions are 100% mine.

If you are like me you are on a budget then Boost Mobile is for you. Like most people I don't like having a contract with my cell phone service. I want to be able to do whatever I want when I want to. Not have to wait 2 years to change service etc. Just think you can have a Blackberry with all the great features for $60 a month! Like a 2.0 MP camera, music player, full qwerty keypad, enhanced browser, email access and a microSD card. The best thing there is no contract and no worries about going over your minutes because you keep texting your friends or updating your Facebook.

Need to Re-Boost your phone? They have 3 easy ways to do it. You can do it by phone, online or in person. You can even use your debit card or set it up for automatic payments. That way you don't have to worry about it. Don't like a Blackberry, you have other options as well. Like the Motorola iL, I love the way it looks! It has a big screen, camera, and messaging with AOL, Yahoo and MSN. Next time I'm buying a cell I'm definitely looking at Boost Mobile!

New Label Same Member's Mark Infant Formula.

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Member's Mark. All opinions are 100% mine.

As a Mom of two who were once young children I know that is very important to give your baby all the nutrients they need to grow up healthy and develop well. However in these tough times we have to save everywhere we can. And this where Member's Mark Infant Formula that is sold at Sam's Club comes in. Member's Mark Formula cost less but it has the same nutrients as the brand formulas and it continues to meet the guidelines of the FDA. It contains DHA and ARA to help support brain and eye development. Everything a baby needs to grow up healthy.

If you shop at Sam's Club you probably noticed they changed the label of Member's Mark Infant Formula. This new label look is cleaner and it is easy to read. That way there will be no confusion about age, benefit indicator or product type. Especially when moms are usually doing the shopping with their babies and they get all fussy. They need all the help they can get. Keep in mind that although the label is new, the formula, the value and size are still the same!

They have two types of formula, complete and gentle for the baby that has a sensitive stomach. You can visit their site Member's Mark Formula for more information and to access their savings calculator to find out how much you will be saving if you make the switch. They also have a Facebook page Member's Mark Infant Formula

Things I Do To Save a Few Dollars.

Like almost everyone else I'm in a budget. I try to save a few dollars everywhere I can. Around here not every store accepts coupons so I try to save some other ways. Like my son's haircut. These days they charge $12 plus $2 tip! If his hair was long I can understand but his hair is never long. What I do to save a few dollars, I shave his hair at home and then take him for a shape up. They only charge $7 plus $2 tip. I end up saving $5. If I had a good trimmer set I would do the shape up also! The one I have is basic so it doesn't let me do it. My son doesn't let his mustache/goatee grow anymore so all he has to do is shave, no goatee shape up at the barber shop either.

When it comes to my hair I do it all at home. I have been cutting my hair lately at home also since I can't afford it and really, I don't go out enough for anyone to notice, lol. I buy hair dye and hair relaxer and my daughter does the rest for me. She does get a haircut at the salon but she doesn't dye her hair so we don't have to worry about that, thank God!

I save on shampoo and conditioner by buying an inexpensive shampoo at $2.50 or less, for the conditioner I spend a bit more ($4.00). In my opinion the conditioner is what gives your hair a good style besides the gel. For the gel I buy one that I found works great for my curly hair for $4.99 or less. I try to buy all when its on sale to save a few dollars more. Then there is the store brand (Target) that saves me a lot! I buy store brand hand soap, wipes (life savers!), tissues, paper plates, cat litter, baby powder, dental floss, razors and hand sanitizer.

I also pay a visit to the 99 cents store. There I buy hair clips, moƱos, shower caps, aluminum trays, paper towels, toilet paper, plastic cups, Ajax, Clorox, shaving cream (Barbasol, I love it). If I need memo pads I get them at the 99 cents store also. Need a basket/crate for whatever you can get it there too. I can go on and on.

Two last tips, I do surveys, with that money I pay my Netflix subscription. If the bill comes and I don't have enough I'll put it on hold until I have the money to pay for it. I also don't pay for magazines out of my pocket, I do surveys for rewards that I use towards the magazines. I subscribe to Latina, PC World and Good Housekeeping.

I have done without things for a day or two because I know I can get it cheaper somewhere else, lol. I know, crazy but I'm in a really tight budget!
