I have tried hard to get into the Christmas spirit this year, but nada. So I just stopped trying. We are not having a big dinner today. We are leaving that for tomorrow. I'm cooking the usual dinner, pernil, arroz con gandules, potato salad and maduros. For dessert I'm making a pumpkin pie. No big fuss here, presents will have to wait as money is tight. We are thankful to have a warm bed to sleep in and food on our table. Like my son said to me yesterday after I mentioned that I hope next year we will be less poor. We are staying home spending time together. Although my daughter seems to be bored out of her mind right now. Oh, well.
