Mary Kay NouriShine Plus Lip Gloss Review & Giveaway!

A few weeks ago I received a fabulous gift pack from Mary Kay with five colorful Mary Kay® NouriShine Plus Lip Glosses to review. The pack included the shades Mango Tango, Rock 'n' Red, Cafe Au Lait, Cream & Sugar and Pink Parfait. All beautiful shades, but my favorites are Rock 'n' Red and Cafe Au Lait. I have to say that due to my oily skin I tend not to use lip glosses a lot. They tend to be too sheer and they don't seem to last long on my lips. However, I was pleasantly surprised with these lip glosses. They have the right amount of color and they lasted more than a few hours on me. They didn't feel sticky on my lips and have a hint of vanilla that gives it a great smell.

You can either apply it once for a hint of color or twice for a more vibrant color that will make your lips pop. You can also use them with the Mary Kay's lip liners if you like your lips to look more defined. These lip glosses come in 14 shades that are great for any skin type/tones. Some colors have some shimmer. Of the five I received, Mango Tango and Cream & Sugar have shimmer. The retail price is $14. These lip glosses key ingredients are Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Aloe Leaf Extract and a Pomegranate Sterol to help strengthen skin, reduce appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, smooth lips and help soften and calm the skin. Not only will you have fabulous looking lips, but they will feel soft and smell delicious.

They are a good size, not too big or too small. They will fit in the smallest of purses or your jean pocket for when you don't want to fuss around with a purse, but still want to be able to touch up your lips!

One lucky reader will win a gift pack of five Mary Kay NouriShine Plus Lip Glosses with the shades you see here! Buena Suerte!

Wet & Wild Fast Dry Nail Polish Review.

I asked my daughter to buy a new nail polish the other day. I was tired of the colors we have. I asked her to get a dark red, she came back with the color you see on the picture. Yep, not red. The color is Teal of Fortune from Wet & Wild. I was a bit upset but what the hell. I'm not a fan of green but since I have it might as well use it. This is my second time using it. I took the picture below after I did the second coat, ignore the messy edges, lol. I don't bother to clean up the edges, it comes off after you take a shower or wash your hands, but if I'm going out right after then I clean it off or I "try" not to paint the edges. I did three coats plus a top coat of Sally Hansen's Nail Growth Miracle nail polish. It didn't take a long time to dry.

I do a lot dishes so I thought it wasn't going to be long before it would start chipping. Not the case! I think it has to do with the glitter. I have noticed that nail polishes with glitter tend to last longer although they are a hassle to remove, but I rather struggle a little bit with removal than having the nail polish chip off the next day! I definitely recommend this nail polish. What's best, if you are on a budget like me, this won't cost you a lot. I have a hard time spending almost $10 on a nail polish, at least for now.

Note: I was not compensated for the review of this product.

English version of the Spanish Friday post below.

It has been two weeks that I haven't participated in Spanish Friday because I have been busy with life, but here I am again. Not too long my daughter purchased a set of lipsticks from Kat Von D called Painted Love & Foiled lipstick set at Sephora. Which I loved because I have been wanting to try her cosmetics for a long time. The good thing is that my daughter and I have the same taste in a lot of things including makeup. Even though I'm forty something years old, mentally I feel I'm in my thirties, lol.

The set brings six mini lipsticks with matte and foiled colors like Hellbent and Whiskey Woman. Love the names, lol. The colors are beautiful although they look darker than they really are in Sephora's page and in back of the box. For example, Celebutard is a lot lighter as you can see in the photo. I liked the darker colors especially, I think they look better on me. I thought that because they have emollients ingredients they would be greasy but to my surprise they are not. As soon as I put it on I noticed the good texture. The colors have high pigmentation and last almost all day. Three things that are very important to me because I have oily skin and the makeup melts away in an hour, half hour if the climate is humid.

For people who are going to use them frequently the size might seem too small but for me it's enough. Besides since they are small you can carry them in your purse, the pocket of your blouse or in your jeans. This set is limited edition, I don't know until when it will be available. This set costs $28.00 and you can purchase it at Sephora.

If you would like to participate in Spanish Friday follow the link or click on the Spanish Friday image on top.

Note: This post was supposed go up yesterday but I put the wrong date because I was sleepy when I wrote it, lol. Don't judge me!

Cheetos Mighty Zingers Review.

I don't know about you but I love freebies. I follow a couple of blogs that are about freebies and coupons. Yesterday I received a sample bag of Cheetos Mighty Zingers Ragin' Cajun & Tangy Ranch courtesy of Walmart. I was surprised by the size of the bag, it was the size of a nowadays 99cents bag although it should really cost 50cents. The good old days when we could get a feast of snacks with a $1!

I didn't know what to expect but I have to say it tasted delicious! Has the right amount of spiciness and tangy flavor. As you can see it has two flavors in the same bag, Ragin' Cajun and Tangy Ranch. That's what makes it so rico/delish. There is also another flavor, Sharp Cheddar Cheese and Salsa Picante. Looking forward to trying that one too. Funny how now products name their flavors in Spanish to let people know that it is HOT/COOL, lol. We are everywhere mi gente.

Oh, sorry. Didn't mean to get off subject here. For the health conscious people. These has 0g trans fat and it has no gluten ingredients. Perfect snack to go with a Coke, Pepsi or better yet a sandwich. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it, lol. My daughter loved them too. First thing she said, we are definitely looking for it at the supermarket. These are a must have for movie time, watching sports or just hanging out at the park. Yum!
