Long Time No See!

I haven't blogged in ages, bad blogger! I haven't been online that much lately. Been busy with life, appointments, errands and computers messing up. Computers that it took me three days to make them work. Then there is the fact that when I try to write posts I get distracted with something else or my mind goes blank. So here I am, giving it a try to see if this time, I do finish a post!

A few weeks back I won two giveaways! It couldn't have come at a better time. I was having a crappy week. So thanks, ladies! The first giveaway was from The Art of Random Willy-Nillyness and the other from New York Chica. I received the first one already. I was like a little kid with a present, excited! I received a box of goodies, from candy, super warm comfy socks, to a robe, to a mug and more! You can see a picture of the socks, the candy and mug below. There were two pairs of socks so I gave one to my daughter. She's always cold, so she was very happy. The candy didn't last long (I have a sweet tooth). They were delish! My new mug, love! I Received My Giveaway!

Not too long ago I participated in the Kick Off Your Heels Twitter party from Stiletto Media. Fun Twitter party, btw. To my surprise the next day I received a DM (direct message) from @StilettoChat telling me I won one of the giveaways. My giveaway, an Avocados From Mexico gift box! That made my day for sure.

Well, on Wednesday I finally received it! I was like a little girl in a candy store opening that box. Had a huge smile on my face with giggles and all. My son was smiling but at the same time making fun of me, in a good way of course. He was wondering why I was so happy. I told him I hardly ever buy things to use in the kitchen (no microwave replacement yet) so this was a huge treat for me. It made me feel like it was my Birthday or Mother's Day. 

Here is what I received:

• An authentic molcajete - a black stone tool made from volcanic rock that is traditionally used for grinding spices, herbs, salsas and guacamole. Always wanted one of these, yes!
• Avocado pitter and slicer. Definitely a handy tool! No more mess.

• An 8 piece bowl set for guacamole and chips, salad and all that good stuff. It brings an ice tray to put under to keep things fresh.
• A Guac Off recipe book full of delicious recipes. The images inside, oh my!

Yesterday I woke up in a blah mood not wanting to do anything. It went downhill from there until my daughter checked the mail. I was surprised with the giveaway I won from Confessions of a Psychotic Housewife. The giveaway, the Deluxe Sarah McLachlan - Laws of Illusion CD! I love Sarah's music so I am ecstatic I won. Her music has gotten me through some rough time and still does! That made my day so I got dressed and went to my doctor's appointment that otherwise I would have rescheduled.
