Saturday & PhotoHunt.

It is Saturday and I'm here as usual catching up with the virtual world. Reading the news, emails, tweets, plurks and blogs. My daughter is on a trip so is my son and me only this weekend. The place feels big without her. She has been calling us and sending pictures at least 3 times a day. I am so glad, I worry less that way..

I have been listening to music while doing chores, it can be so relaxing plus that way I can pretend I enjoy cleaning. I have to be honest I used to clean like crazy because in the back of my mind I kept hearing my mother and grandmother telling me you have to clean this and that if not you won't go out, blah, blah. Then one day I realized this is my place and I'm all grown up, I don't have to clean if I don't want to! Now I take it easy, it can wait until the next day or the next, love it.

This heat is horrendous and the fact that I'm having hot flashes (I think) makes it worse! The ac is on but I'm not feeling it because I feel like my skin is burning, ugh. I'm dreading having to cook dinner in this heat. Thank god for hot dogs and my son not being picky about dinner. I can cook french toast for dinner and he is totally fine with it! I make them with wheat bread that way I won't feel guilty!

Ok, is time to do my PhotoHunt. The theme this week is Sparkle. This picture was taken by my son when we went to Ripley's Believe It or Not on mother's day. This horse is right in the entrance of Ripley's and it is made out of cut glass. The light reflects on it and it makes it sparkle. If you would like to join the group follow the link! Happy Saturday!♥♥

  1. Aha!! That is sparkly!

I'm also suffering in the heat a bit. I'm in TX. On your sidebar, you describe yourself as a forty-something Mom, and I was just thinking the other day, I am going to have to change my sidebar to say the same thing next year. Not a bad thing, just a change. My kids are now 11 and 14.

Anyway, nice to see your sparkle today!

  2. A beautiful gleam on the prancing horse statue! A very dramatic pose! Amazing that it is all made of cut glass!
