Belated PhotoHunt - Wooden

I meant to post this yesterday (Saturday) but didn't have time so here it is now. My belated PhotoHunt post. I haven't done this meme in a while but here I am again. This week's theme is Wooden. I had more than one picture as you can see below. I took these pictures when we went to the the museum Ripley's Believe it or Not last year...

PhotoHunt - Informative

I'm late with my PhotoHunt today. I was feeling blah most of the day so I took a long nap. Feeling a little better although I'm sleepy again. Anyway, this week's theme is Informative. We took these pictures when we went to Ripley's Believe It or Not last year for Mother's Day. We had fun that day, so many interesting things. Very informative!

PhotoHunt - Dirty

I haven't done PhotoHunt in what seems ages! This weeks theme is Dirty. I haven't been taking pictures lately so I had to check my old ones. This picture was taken 3 years ago when we went to Central Park. As you can see the top part of the horse is clean or should I say semi clean but the legs are dirty. That's bound to happen of course with all the rides they do per day. People love taking rides across Central Park. I took one once, loved it!

Windy Day! & PhotoHunt.

It's very windy in NY today! I have my window open even though is cold because I like hearing the sound of the wind and I want some clean air to come in. I went to the supermarket last night and I'm glad I did. By the time I got back the wind started picking up to the point I had to walk with my eyes closed because of the dirt floating around. As I was waiting for my son to come down to help me with the groceries I had to hold on to my cart, lol. That's how windy it was, today it is worse. So be careful out there mi gente!

I haven't done PhotoHunt in a while, mainly because the majority of my photos are in a drive that stopped working so I can't find pictures to go with some of the themes. I had one for this week's theme, Silhouette. My son took this picture of our cat with his cell phone about three years ago. He likes to sit/lay on the windowsill when is warm out to enjoy the sun. No Pleaseee! & PhotoHunt.

I woke up with a sore throat because I sleep with a fan on. Yes, I know is winter but I do it to cover the sound from outside and because when the heat comes up it gets extremely hot. I took a Nyquil to see if it will go away. Seems ok for now but I have a slight headache, not a good sign. So far I have managed not to get a cold even though my son and daughter had one. I'm a hugger when it comes to my kids but when they are sick I stay away. I mean, I still take care of them but from far away, lol. I feel guilty but I'll deal with the guilt instead of a cold anytime! Wish me luck...

Ok, on to my PhotoHunt. This week's theme is standing. I took this picture when we went to Ripley's Believe It or Not last year. This is an albino giraffe, one of three found in Zimbabwe, Africa. We are used to giraffes having spots. Looks weird doesn't it?

New Year & PhotoHunt - Fuzzy

Happy New Year again! Ready for the new year? I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. We enjoyed our dinner and dessert. Turned out delish. Now we are having some quiet time. There are some people that are still celebrating but not in our building. Here is quiet so far. My daughter is on the computer, my son and I are watching the X-Files season 9 on Netflix.

So glad is still Saturday, not ready for the week yet. Come Monday is back to reality, many errands to do. So not ready! Already put up my new calendar though, have to mark it with things I have to do. Funny thing is I enjoy marking my calendar, lol. There is something about calendars, post it, pens, notepads that I like. Anything officy (just made that word up) I love...

First PhotoHunt of 2011! This week's theme is Fuzzy. My son took this picture a few years back while we were at a hospital's outside waiting area. This little birdie came to the table next to us looking for something to eat. It kept getting closer so my son couldn't resist taking a picture. So cute!

PhotoHunt - Male

Hello, mi gente. Here with this week's PhotoHunt. The theme is Male. I took this picture when I went to Ripley's Believe It or Not. When you sit next to him it makes a sound and looks at you, lol. My daughter was in this picture but I cut her out. She was red as a tomato when I took the picture. She was scared of it!

Life & PhotoHunt - Alive

It's Saturday, so happy about that! It's a beautiful day outside. Sunny, good temperatures, great day to walk around in the city. Too bad I can't do that with my back hurting worse that it has been. I have to do grocery shopping so I'm hoping the pain will go away a bit by then. If not mis hijos/my children are going to have to go and they are not going to be happy when I tell them. Oh well.

Have no idea what to cook for dinner. Something simple. Maybe arroz/rice con salchichas/sausages, habichuelas negras/black beans y maduros/yellow plantains. That sounds good. We'll see. I baked a cake yesterday, from a box of course! LOL Came out fluffy, very tasty. That will be our dessert for today, tomorrow and the day after. Saves me some money and that is always good!

Later to catch up with the shows I have on the DVR. Ran out of space last night and had to delete some shows! Hopefully I can watch them online. I'm enjoying Cablevision's on demand prime time. I watched The Event there and watched the first 2 episodes of No Ordinary Family. I enjoy both shows. Btw, is it me or the girl in the picture looks like Ke$ha. I know, I know. I'm 40 something years old and I know who Ke$ha is, lol. Her songs can be catchy, lol. You can't tell much in that picture but if you watch the show you can see it. Anyone else thinks she looks like her?

Ok, on to my PhotoHunt for today. Today's theme is Alive. I found two pictures I took in Central Park that are perfect (I think) for today's theme. If you would like to be a photohunter like me click on the link or click on the chicklet below.

PhotoHunt - Letters.

So happy the weekend is here! I'm not doing anything special. Just the usual, clean, cook and watch a movie later. If not come online to read some blogs and news. Anyway, this week's PhotoHunt is Letters. I didn't think I was going to have a picture for this theme but turned out I had a few. This is the Queens Place in Queens, NY. Very close to the Queens Center Mall. I love going there. It is close to every store you can think of with many places to eat. Including my favorite place Cinnabon, yum!
