I'm loving these songs by Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. Kelly Clarkson Catch My Breath is playing a lot on the radio. I find myself singing to it each time. Both videos are great, but I like the first one better. IMO, the could have done better for the second one. The one by Carrie Underwood was just posted on YouTube a day ago. Another great song and video! I'm starting to enjoy country music a bit more. I have the TV show Nashville to blame for that, lol.♥

Ayer estaba viendo los Latin Grammys Awards. Los grabé en el DVR y como necesitaba espacio decidí verlo. Me trajo muchos recuerdos de cuando vivía en Puerto Rico. La primera canción de Calle 13 (Latinoamérica), me gustó mucho. Nunca había oido la música de ese grupo. En fín me puse a pensar en los tiempos de antes, las navidades y de toda la música que se escuchaba en aquellos años. Las navidades se pasaban tan bien. No eran acerca de regalos sino acerca de pasarla con la familia y amistades. La pasabamos bailando, comiendo buena comida y después a llevarle parrandas a los vecinos y a familiares que vivían en otros pueblos. Nos quedabamos hasta las 3 y 4 de la mañana! Ay, tantos recuerdos! 

Ya que me dió nostalgia decidí buscar en youtube algunas de las canciones para compartirlas con mis lectores y a la misma vez añadirlas a mi lista de música Navideña, salsa y merengue. Espero que las disfruten tanto como yo..

Yesterday I was watching the Latin Grammys Awards. I recorded it on the DVR and since I needed space I decided to watch it. It brought back memories from when I lived in Puerto Rico. I really liked the first song from Calle 13 (Latinoamérica). Never heard the music of that band before. Anyway, I started thinking about back in the days, the holidays and all the music we used to listened to in those years. The holidays were good. It wasn't about gifts it was about spending it with family and friends. We would dance, have good food and then to take the parrandas to the neighbors and relatives living in other towns. We would stay until 3 and 4 in the morning! So many memories!

Since I was nostalgic I decided to look for some of the songs on youtube to share it with my readers and at the same time add it to my music list of Christmas music, salsa and merengue. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do..

Psy - Gangnam Style Music Video

Sharing this music video for those who like me until a few days ago didn't know about one of the latest YouTube most watched videos. It broke the Guinness record for the most liked video on YouTube. Psy is a South Korean pop singer, who sings about the now worldwide famous Gangnam dancing style. Although I can't understand most of what he's singing about, the video is entertaining and catchy.

Everyone wants to meet him. Ellen invited him to the show so he could teach Britney Spears the dance moves. Even TMZ had him on the show. My favorite, his performance at Rockefeller Plaza for NBC's Today Show. It is awesome to see everyone welcoming Psy, enjoying his music even though most didn't understand the words. Like the host said, Rockefeller Plaza will never be the same. Music has no boundaries. Check it out!

Alex Clare's Music Video - Too Close

I heard this song on the radio not too long ago. I thought, coño this man can sing! Then, I heard it on TV during a commercial for IE9. It has been playing in my head all day. I had to add it to my Spotify list. It's the type of song that you can't listen to without turning up the volume. I fought the urge, lol. Thank God for headphones! In an era where many lip sync and rap their way to stardom, it's refreshing to hear someone who can really sing.

From Wikipedia: Alex Clare (born Alexander George Claire; 14 September 1985 in Southwark, London, England) is a British singer-songwriter. His debut album, The Lateness of the Hour, was released in the UK on 11 July 2011 on Island Records[2] and was produced by Mike Spencer and Major Lazer.

Clare adopted his current stage name, Alex Clare, in 2010, replacing Alexander G. Muertos, a pseudonym he first used whilst still at school.

This is the official music video, and although I love everything about the song, I'm disappointed with the video. With a song like this, this video should have been epic, brutal, bestial (like we say in PR). Maybe they had a small budget, who knows. I know I'm being picky, sorry. Actually, I just checked his website again. There is a blog post with a few photos. The title, Too Close 2. So I guess a new video will be released soon?!


There are few other songs that I like, Caroline is one of them, but can't find it on Spotify. For now I'll listen to it on YouTube.

Tommy Torres New Music Video - 11:11

I first found out about hot Puerto Rican singer, producer and songwriter Tommy Torres through Hispano Bloggers when he released his single Querido Tommy. The song has been a great success. I watched him on Twitcam as he talked and sang to his fans. He even gave us a tour of his recording studio. It was great!

Well, he just released a new single and this is the official music video. The song is called 11:11. You are probably thinking 11:11? Take a look at the video and it will make perfect sense after that. Make sure you watch it until the end. You are going to like it. What can I say, another great song. Romantic and sexy as hell! The song is already available in iTunes.

This has been great year for Tommy. Not only is he releasing a new album, he just became the proud father of a baby girl. Congrats to him and his wife!♥

Bullying - Something Has To Change.

By now you all probably have seen the youtube videos with the bus monitor elderly woman Karen Klein, who was harassed by kids on the bus while on a trip. There are three videos, a total of fourteen minutes. I personally couldn't finish watching it. It was too upsetting! The level of disrespect, I mean one thing is to back talk another is to taunt and bully an elderly person. Even after she was crying they continued to bully her. It makes so angry when I think about it. I'm sure that some of what I'm feeling is because I have been treated that way (so has my son) as an adult myself by other adults, teens and children as well. I know too well how it feels.

If I was one of the parents of those children/teens I would force them to do volunteer work with elderly people for the whole summer. Monitoring them constantly so they won't treat them the same way. That way they will learn how to treat people with respect. No cell phones or internet for the whole summer either. It is a shame that she was being treated that way and no one else on the bus came to speak up for her. I understand that the bus driver has to pay attention to the road, but he or she had to have heard what was going on. Then again, like we say things happen for a reason. Maybe this was meant to happen as an eye opener for the rest of the world. At how bad things has gotten. How bad bullying has become and how us, as parents need to teach our kids that no type of bullying is ever OK. Something must be done about this. Laws must be put in place so things like this stop happening. That not even for the sake of a few laughs it is OK to bully someone.

Thankfully for Karen Klein, with the power of the internet and a good Samaritan, she will be able to take a well deserved vacation and can retire if she wants to. According to Gothamist so far people have donated 628,800! I'm so happy for her. Her daughter mentioned on an interview that she doesn't think her mom is going to return to her job. And I hope she doesn't, so she can enjoy the rest of her life with her family without having to worry if she's ever going to be treated that way again.

From the Gothamist: As for her tormentors, the 68-year-old Klein previously said she didn't buy their apologies—but this morning, she sounded a bit more forgiving on CBS This Morning: Saturday: "I'm glad they had to do it," she said. "I think—they're a little short. I guess I'll have to accept them. Because probably, this is as good as it's gonna get, if you know what I mean."

Asked about the sincerity of the apologies, she reasoned: "How sincere is a 13-year-old after they've done what they've done? I don't know. I hope they're sincere. I hope they have learned a lesson. And I hope they can go on with their life as a nicer person."

Who's Tommy Torres?

I'm a little bit embarrassed to say that until today, I didn't know who Tommy Torres was. Tommy started out as composer and producer in the late 90's. Since then, he has released a three albums and has written hits songs for artists like Ricky Martin, Ednita Nazario and Paulina Rubio, to name a few.  He has also received numerous awards, including Grammy awards and Billboard.

This is his new single, Querido Tommy. Querido Tommy is a song about a guy who is in love with a girl but he doesn't know how to express how he feels. He writes a letter to Tommy Torres asking him to help him find the right words to tell her how he feels. Well, I don't want to spoil it for you, just check out the video below. Such a great song and video, I am definitely adding him to my music list.

So, who's Tommy Torres? He is a multi-talented artist, extremely hot looking and he is from Puerto Rico. As a Boricua, this fills me with tremendous pride!

Here are the latest videos of Jennifer López and Madonna. I like both videos but can't say I love them. As you can see Jennifer López made the mistake of putting her boyfriend in one of her videos again. After the Ben Affleck mess (they were everywhere, overexposed), you would think she wouldn't do it again. Guess not. I can't look at them without thinking he could be her son. Uy. I like the beat of the song but the lyrics are bad. Meh.

Madonna's video, I like it and I also like the song (great song to dance to), but I could have done without the oversexed up video. You might say I'm an old lady for not loving it, but after seeing her work over the years, including the Sex book, I want to see something different. Not the same thing over and over again. After a while it just gets, meh.

I have been stressed for about a month now, dealing with some personal things. Been putting it off because I didn't wanted to deal with it, but yesterday decided to finally take care of it. I thought I would be feeling better after but no, I was still stressed. Got home with a huge headache that would not go away. Completely feeling shitty.

Then, a ray of light! Needless to say there have been a lot of thank you God, thank you God. So I'm going to shut up and smile for today. Enjoy some stress free time, maybe for a day or two or even a week! I deserve it, coño. 

When I'm stressed I breakout a lot, so my chin is not looking pretty these days. I went on youtube to see if I could find something to help me with my dilemma. I have been on a beauty overload ever since, watching videos about make up, skin care and nails! I forgot how much good information you can find on youtube. I subscribed to a bunch of channels. The first two videos below are from a makeup artist. He gives such great tips! I mean, I can sit for hours watching his videos. He's that good and I love his accent! If you have a problem skin like me, be sure to check out his videos.

The last two are about nails as you can see. OMG, I'm obsessed with all the tutorials available on youtube. As soon as I can buy a few of the things needed for some of the tutorials I'm going to try a few of them. The easy ones of course, because I'm not too crafty, lol. Take a look, don't they look beautiful?

I saw this at mashable.com and was laughing from beginning to end. A two year old boy named William Stokkebroe dancing the jive at his parents studio. He's got good rhythm at this age, imagine when he gets older.   He's even trying to sing the song, coño! Well, they already know what he's going to be when he grows up. The end is the best part, lol. So cute!

Tan bella, Dios la bendiga! A two year old girl singing Adele's Someone Like You song. Had to share it! Doesn't she look cute? You can't help smiling looking at her singing. She's so into it. Her mom might have to get her a Karaoke machine soon if they don't have one yet. Who knows she might end being a singer too!

Google+ Hangout With President Obama.

I stay away from politics on this blog but I saw this on Google+ and thought why not. This is the first completely virtual interview from the White House. I find it so cool that we are able to do this. I really enjoyed the last 5 minutes or so of the video because they were personal questions. I don't know about you, but I like when the presidents have a non political conversation. You get to see their sense of humor etc.

Very Upsetting!

I am a mother, my kids are both over 18 years old. Still, it is upsetting to me that one can't watch a YouTube video of animals doing tricks without having something pornographic show up right in front of your face! Lisa from New York Chica shared a link on Facebook about a Chihuahua named Stuart dancing salsa. Sounds harmless right? I am watching the video, laughing because it is kind of funny. Then when it finished, the video for the picture you see above with the white square on it, is one of the videos that comes up as a suggestion. I couldn't believe it when I saw it! I had to look twice. I'm so upset, nothing is freaking sacred these days. 

Parents watch these videos often with their children. Sure, there is a button that you can click to have a safe mode search but where is it? All the way at the bottom of the freaking page! Not everyone is familiar with how things work on the internet. Why owners of websites can't think about that when they are incorporating parental controls on their sites? I was going to show this video to my son, good thing I saw this before I showed it to him. Now I can avoid a really embarrassing moment. 

The worst part is that even if you close the page and open the Dancing Chihuahua video again, it will still show up as a recommendation again. Not only on top but on the side also between a bunch of videos of funny animal videos. Sure, for some of you this might not mean anything but as a mother it is upsetting that one can't even enjoy some funny videos of animals without having something disgusting show up! Mind you, I'm no prude but come on, not everyone wants to look at a crotch while looking at videos with their family or friends! YouTube should change their system to avoid this from happening and move that button to the top where is visible to everyone!

So, if you don't have the safe mode setting set up on YouTube do set it up before you do a search to avoid videos like these from showing up while you are trying to enjoy yourself with your family and friends. Ok, now my rant is over, carajo.

Change For A Dollar.

It's late or early (4:34am) and I can't sleep. I was reading Twitter and Plurk to pass the time when I found this video on Plurk and had to share it. We tend to pass by people asking for money in the street and many times we ignore them. I know I have, out of fear that they are going to see me everyday and accost me for money. Not that I have much money to give away, sometimes all I have in my wallet is change. Change that I myself need to save to buy things that we need. However this video is a reminder that that change can help buy a meal or something for someone else and if you can spare it do give it. 


The supermarket part (the mother), I have been in that situation but I have also helped people who have been there. It's my way of thanking God for the little that we have. I realize that the video is not so much about the man buying something for himself, if not how many people he helps with it. Very well done video. I would like to know what you think.♥♥

Last Night's Mess.

I went out late last night to the bodega because my daughter needed more medicine, she has a cold. Although I wasn't too pleased to have to go out again I did go and managed to take a picture and a video to share. My son went with me, had to force him to go but I am glad he did if not I wouldn't have been able to take these. It was cold as hell (well not like hell because hell some say is really hot!) and very slippery! You can hear the wind, my fingers were frozen by the time I got home. My apartment is very hot so I don't realize how cold it is outside until I go out or I check the temperature which I didn't do before going out last night.

A mom surprised her daughter with a trip to Disneyland and the little girls reaction is so cute that it made me laugh and cry like a baby at the same time! A child honest emotions, love it!
