PhotoHunt - Spotted

Time for PhotoHunt again!  It was hard but I found one, lol.  This picture was taken by my son with his cell phone that's why is so small.  We went to a bodega and there he/she was.  My son spotted the cat and had to take a picture.  He is so plump isn't he, lol.  If you would like to participate follow the link.  Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!♥♥

Life & Friday Fill-Ins.

Wow, I can't believe is Friday already!  Woke up yesterday and thought it was Wednesday instead of Thursday.  Yes, sometimes I wake up and don't know what day it is.  No, I don't drink or smoke pot, lol.  Today is going to be extremely cold so everyone better bundle up!  Not easy walking down the streets when is extremely cold.  I'm going to be out running errands and I'll be using the bus so you know I'm going to bundle up!  Have to look for my gloves, have no idea where they are.  I know for us is not that bad.  Texas has been getting snow and other parts freezing rain and many have lost power.  Can't imagine not having power especially families with children and elderly people.  My prayers to them that they will get their power restored soon...♥♥

Bundle up people, I'm sure today I will be seeing mostly eyes walking down the street instead of faces, he, he.

Time to do my Friday Fill-Ins!  Haven't done them in a while.  If you would like to participate follow the link!  Happy Friday!♥

1. Wouldn't it be easy if I could pop a packet in the microwave and it would turn into a full dinner like in the Jetson's.

2. Within a year or two I hope my life will be better than ever!

3. I love the taste of a hot cup of coffee early in the morning when everything is quiet.

4. My PC is in the living room.

5. The first thing we're going to do is write everything down.

6. The shower head sounds drip, drip, drip; in my bathroom.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to catching up with Blogs and TV shows, tomorrow my plans include cleaning, watching a movie and Sunday, I want to relax!                       Pin It Now!

Doodles...

I love doodles, they can be relaxing sometimes especially when you are waiting on something, bored or talking on the phone and you just don't want to talk to the person.  My son is always drawing doodles and I love them.  I try to save them because they are a memory of him.  When he grows up he will look at them and laugh about it.  Here is 2 doodles he made last night...♥♥

Movies Coming Out Soon.

I haven't done the movies coming out soon in a while so here it is again.  Good ones coming out, at least from what I can see in the trailers that is.  Not that I look at the whole trailer, too many spoilers.  I love movies but these days I can't afford to go to the movies often.  In fact the last movie I went to see in the theater was The Happening!  I'm hoping we can go see Avatar before they stop showing it in the theaters.  Everyone keep saying is a great movie so I guess is worth the money.  Anyway, here are some of the movies coming soon.  You can see them in HD if you go to traileraddict.com.  Enjoy!♥

Conan O'Brien Last Show.

First let me say that I'm team COCO!  I only see these types of shows occasionally when a celebrity I like is on but I wanted to see the last show of Conan O'Brien and I have to say it was great.  I enjoyed it and he sure looked like he enjoyed playing with the band and wasn't bad at all either!  Great way to close the show, very classy.  This whole mess shouldn't have happened.  If there was anyone who should have left it was Jay Leno.  He had his time let the rest of the guys have theirs.  It was his show that was canceled and moving him to 10PM was stupid in the first place.  Why mess with something that until now had worked so well is beyond me.  Very fucked up thing to do after only 7 months, was it so hard to wait a year!  Here is Coco's last show!  Buena suerte/Good luck Coco...♥♥

Life & PhotoHunt - Balanced.

I'm catching up with emails, Blogs, Facebook, Plurks and Tweets.  Hard to keep up with the reading, so many Blogs etc.  Also doing laundry, have tons of dirty clothes because I have to do laundry after 12 am, long story.  Nothing illegal going on though, lol.  Has been a quiet weekend so far although feels like it was a 1 day weekend!  The day went by so fast.  One of the reasons why I don't like going to sleep sometimes.  Feel like I'm missing out when I go to sleep, lol.  The Internet can do that to you, lol.  Make you feel like you are missing out, so much information 24/7.  Anyone else has the same problem?

Anyway, is time for PhotoHunt again even though I'm late posting it!  This week's theme is Balanced, I couldn't find anything so I had to take a picture, lol.  If you would like to join the fun click on the link!  Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend...♥♥

Friday's Random Thoughts.

So glad is Friday.  This week I have been running around a lot, running errands and going to appointments.  In about 2 hours have to do some more running around so dinner is going to be something easy to make.  Spaghetti (I like using Ziti though) with meatballs and garlic bread, meatballs are precooked so all I have to is warm them.  Same with the garlic bread, pop it in the oven for 15 minutes and voila.  You have a meal in about 30 minutes!

I don't know if I'm going to be here tonight and like almost everyone else I want to see the Haiti Telethon.  I set up my DVR to record it just in case I don't make it home on time.  According to my cable company is going to air in all the network channels plus HBO, MTV, VH1, CMT, PBS, TNT, Showtime, Comedy Central, Bravo, E! Entertainment, National Geographic Channel, Oxygen, G4, Centric, Fuse, MLB Network, Palladia, SoapNet, Style and Planet Green.  It is a tragedy what happened to Haiti and although I am very sad for them in a way I am glad they are going to get the help they have needed for decades.  I just hope they won't continue to make them wait to the point more people keep dying out of hunger and injuries.  Hopefully the money won't disappear and will go to the right people this time.

Why is it that when you finally are able to breath easier because you have resolve one of the problems that have been keeping you awake for the past few months you check the mail and there is another problem, then on top of that you have to wait until Monday to take care of it.  It will hunt me day and night until Monday!  Shit!  I am pissed as hell right now...

I'm going to try to enjoy my weekend though while doing laundry and cleaning that is.  We still have the same movies we had last weekend!  9 and GI Joe, we have to see them this weekend.  Netflix is going to send their people after me, lol.

As I'm typing this post my beloved neighbors decided to let their kids out to joder in the hallway.  Why o why?  Why must I hear them screaming and stomping in the hallway?  They are not my fucking kids and they are not renting the hallway.  You would think that their parents would come out every once in a while to say lower your voice and don't run, nothing.  Not once did I ever let my kids out to go bother other people.  They were well mannered and they knew not to make noise in the hallway and be polite.  These days some kids can be so rude and their parents do not care.  Then we wonder...        Pin It Now!

Yum, Yum! Que Rico...

When I go to the supermarket most of the time I'm in a rush but the other day I wanted to take my time and just browse.  I am a bread person so I always have bread in stock (I am Latina after all)  and what a surprise I got when I walked into the bread aisle.  I found cinnamon bread made by Cinnabon!  Now, I'm sure it has been around for some time but this is the first time I have seen it.  I am big fan of Cinnabon, don't get to have them often because the only place close to where I live is all the way in the city and I don't go out often.  Ok, now I am craving some Cinnabons!

Anyway, I saw the bread and I just had to try it.  My son loves Cinnabon too so he was excited to try it.  When you are toasting it smells delicious, it goes through the whole place. It taste delish, the right amount of cinnamon, moist and is chewy which is something I like.  We tried it with butter and cream cheese.  I think I like it better with cream cheese but my son like it better with butter.  I was a bit disappointed because the slices are a bit small but they are thick so I guess that makes up for the size.  Also the package should be a bit bigger because with a family of 3 it doesn't last more than 2 days.  They sell fast because they put them on sale so I don't always find them.  Definitely something to have when you are craving something sweet...♥♥

Life & PhotoHunt - Jiggly!

I'm here enjoying a musical Saturday, playing some 80's music.  Nothing better than to reminisce to your favorite music.  My daughter is out with her friends and my son is playing video games.  Normally I only listen to music while I cook but today I'm in the mood to listen to music longer!  Guess is my way to hold on to the Holidays spirit a bit longer.  Plus my neighbors are having a party again and I definitely don't want to hear their racket.  Right now their kids are running and screaming in the hallway.  Disturbing other people, some people have no respect.  Once I get bored with the music we will watch a movie, 9 or GI Joe.  Two great action movies to transport myself mentally out of here, lol.

On to my PhotoHunt!  This week theme is Jiggly, lol.  Had a hard time finding a picture for this one since my drive with most of my pictures is not working.  I took this picture in the city while we were waiting in line for Hideo Kojima's signature when he was in the now closed Virgin Records store in 42nd Street.  We had a blast that day!  I thought the horse and the carriage looked beautiful, the way his mane and tail jiggled.  I have been in one but we went through Central Park, I loved it.  Next time you are in New York take a ride, great way to see some of the city.  If you would like to join PhotoHunt click on the link.  Happy Saturday...♥♥

Just in Time!

I have been meaning to post this but have been pulling my hair with the damn computer.  Anyway, we finally went to see the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree 2 days before it was taken down.  The day we went was extremely cold and although my fingers were half frozen I am glad we went and we enjoyed ourselves even if we didn't stayed a long time.  I love the cold weather, walking around, the smell of winter.  One of the things I love about Nueva York is no matter how cold it is the streets are almost always buzzing.

We got to Rockefeller Center and I thought it was going to be empty, not the case.  It didn't feel like the Holidays were over at all.  It wasn't full but you could still bump into people.  The skating ring was busy too as you can see by the pictures and videos.  No matter how old you get there is always the feeling of awe when you see "The Tree".  Everything looked so beautiful, loved the silver color!  The lights, the music made me wish I had a button to rewind and start the Holidays all over again!  So beautiful..On our way home I noticed there were other Christmas decorations around.  I'm guessing they were going to be taken down the same day as the Rockefeller Center Tree.  I wanted to get closer to take a better video but mis hijos were complaining that it was too cold.  It's always a treat going to the city and just walking around.  Hope you enjoy the pictures and videos...♥

It's Working...Sort of

Remember my virus issue?  I used my daughter's computer to write that post but now I managed to make mine work with Spyware Doctor, had to buy it to remove the viruses though.  It removed the virus that was causing the biggest issue and some other Trojans which AVG never picked up.  I uninstalled AVG and now I'm using Avast free antivirus.  So far is good, my computer is faster and when is scanning I can still use it something I couldn't do with AVG.  I still have a redirecting Trojan that neither software has been able to get rid off.  It redirects my pages every once in a while which is pissing me off but for now I am glad my computer is working again.  My last resort of course will be to reinstall my operating system.  The drive where I have all my files in is still not working.  I'm stubborn so I'm going to try everything to make it work before I give up on all my pictures and files!  These days we have to have at least 3 or 4 programs to keep crap like this out of our computers.  People with too much time on their hands and hating the world...shit!  Although I am pissed that I'm having this problem I'm proud I was able to fix it myself without having to wait to have someone else try to fix it.  Something I can't do because I don't have that kind of money...

Damn Viruses!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while but my computer caught a damn virus while I was surfing the internet.  Can't use anything because it keeps giving me pop ups to install this and that.  Which is the virus itself.  Yesterday I didn't bother touching it and today I haven't so far but later I plan to look at it again.  I have a virus protection software and the fucking thing doesn't pick it up.  I used the Symantec's site to check it and still didn't pick it up.  I'm pissed as hell because I have pictures and documents there.  Should have backed it up but I never had a virus problem before.  Not only have I been having problems with it now I can't use it at all.  There is always something.  This will teach me not to procrastinate and do it!  Mierda!  So people always back up your computer... Happy New Year/Feliz AƱo Nuevo!

Happy New Year/Feliz AƱo Nuevo mi gente!  I hope everyone is enjoying their morning/day/night with their loved ones and friends.  Staying safe and behaving good, lol.  I sure hope this year will be a better one!  At least for me, 2009 was full of downs and a few ups.  Yet I always think it could have been worse and I thank God it wasn't.  Mis hijos are healthy and that's what matters to me the most.  One of the ups, this Blog and all the people I have met through blogging, Twitter & Plurk even if I've never met anyone in person, not yet anyway, lol.  They have kept me many times from pulling my hair out of frustration believe it or not!  I've never been one to make resolutions because I never keep them but I hope to get over some of my fears/shyness so I can enjoy life more.

I made our pernil with the usual, arroz con gandules, potato salad, cranberry jellied sauce and maduros.  I posted a picture below, I'm not a good cook so I feel proud when the food turns out good.  For the first time I made coquito, I didn't added the eggs (was too tired) or the rum, we don't drink so we didn't have any and we forgot to get it, lol.  I did use cream of coconut instead of milk of coconut, I boiled 3 cinnamon sticks and added the water after it cooled down.  It came out tasty anyway, I'm happy!  Food was done early so we were able to relax for the rest of the day.

Yesterday morning I looked out the window like I always do to see how's the weather (I don't go out much but I'm obsessed with it) and to my surprise it was snowing!  It was so pretty, there was hardly anyone around so the snow was still untouched. I took a short video and then a picture of what was left after.  It started raining I guess so everything turned to mush in a matter of hours.  This year I hope mother nature won't be cheap with the snow in NYC, last year we barely got any.  Few inches here and there, yes I love snow!  I'm a winter baby...

My down the hall neighbors are having a party and their kids are jodiendo in the hallway but since is a holiday I don't mind.  Instead I'm listening to some music myself while I'm writing this post, lol.  Should be sleeping but I took a nap earlier and I'm not sleepy at all.  Not that I would be able to sleep with the coming and going from the neighbors!

Well, enjoy your weekend and may the new year brings nothing but good things to you and your familia.  Joy, plenty of health, love and mucho dinero...Happy New Year/Feliz AƱo Nuevo!!♥x♥x♥x
