This Sunday is the event Junta Hispana at Flushing Meadow Park. Where 20 Spanish speaking countries get together to celebrate their culture, music, traditions etc. This event is not only in New York but also in Chicago (was on July 26), Houston (October 18), Los Angeles (October 11) and Miami (Dec. 6). Best of all is free! The event is going to be divided in 5 areas. Where you will be able to enjoy all types of food, crafts and music. There will be giveaways and you will get to try new products from their sponsors. For the little ones, Nickelodeon's Spongebob and Diego will be there from 1 PM - 4 PM!
I have never heard of this event but it looks like a place where you can experience a lot in just one day without having to travel to all 20 countries! See all different type of crafts and taste different types of food. Enjoy their music and learn about their traditions.
Flushing Meadow Park is one of my favorite places to spend some quiet time with mis hijos/my children. Haven't been there in a long time but depending on how I feel Sunday I may take a little trip down there. You should too!
