These cooler temperatures have really gotten me in the mood to wear fall clothing. Fall is definitely my favorite time of year. I love wearing light scarves with t-shirts and jeans with knee-high boots. Last year, I looked everywhere to try to find some knee-high tan boots and could not find any that I liked. Last weekend I went to the mall and found the perfect pair of boots. The only problem was that they did not have my size. I was so disappointed because I literally searched every store last year and could not find any that fit me like I thought these boots would. 


When I got home from the mall, I realized that my husband had set up our satellite internet with satellitestarinternet.com, so I got on the internet to try to find my boots. I found out that another store had them in my size, and I immediately ordered them. They shipped pretty quickly and I got them yesterday. They fit me perfectly and I cannot wait to wear them. I just have to avoid telling my husband how much I paid for them.

My Favorite Supernatural Episode.

The best TV episode was on Supernatural this year. It's the episode involving Dean getting kidnapped by fairies. Dean and Sam are brothers who fight the supernatural beings that are dangerous. They have been doing this job for several years now. Both brothers have died and been brought back from death.

Sam is the younger brother and he was trapped in a cage with Satan. Sam was released, but without his soul and Dean is trying to figure out a way to get it back. Sam just isn't the same without his soul! . His empathy and compassion are missing and it's straining their relationship. Despite this little complication the brothers are continuing their mission of protecting people from strange beings.

They arrive in a town upon hearing strange rumors, and Dean is taken aboard what appears to be a spaceship, but it really is fairies that kidnapped him. After Dean is kidnapped he is the only one who can see them, so Sam doesn't believe they are there at first. Dean battles one alone and cooks it in the microwave. This moment reminded me of the movie Gremlins. Someone in town made a deal with the fairies to work for them. The fairies were addicted to cream, and it made them inebriated allowing the brothers to kill the leader. I always watch Supernatural on my Cable TV Deals.

Favorite Fashion Show.

Investing in satellite TV from directstartv.com has been both a blessing and a curse. It is really great that I have access to so many channels, and it is really horrible that I have access to so many channels. This means my weekends are now full since I can always find something to watch and this weekend that something is What Not To Wear. I know this show is for the fashion impaired and no one should want to be cast but I kind of do. I mean, what's 1 hour of public humiliation for a whole new wardrobe? I love that this show is the whole package too. 

They do not just give a fashion victim new clothes but rather, they take the time to really learn about their personal style and give them ideas of what not only fits their personal aesthetic but also what would look good on their body type. They also always include a new hair style which is often a cut and color and a makeup application. You would be surprised at what a trim and a little makeup can do for a person. The show is pretty predictable with the fashion victim trying to shop on their own and inevitably resorting back to their old habits, then the hosts jump out and help them choose their whole new wardrobe; even so, I still love it every time.

Sitting Down Watching ESPN.

Sunday morning started out just like all the other ones that I had for the entire month. Except today was going to be different because I was going to have a great time watching ESPN. I know that for many people this is something that would seem odd, but I had finally managed to convince my wife to get paid television.

Now this may not seem like it was that big of a struggle, but you need to realize that when you live on a disability pension spending any money each month is a huge choice. However, she finally seen that the old way of watching television was not working anymore when her soaps kept fading in and out on her.

Once her soaps faded in and out a couple times too many and she missed out on the big ending to one of the episodes she knew that it was time to get something else. Once she decided on that I managed to convince her to the switch, but what she was not expecting was for me to watch my favorite sports network on satellite TV from BestChoiceTV each Sunday morning. Now she just considers my sports watching as part of the Sunday morning ritual before we head out the door for church.

Living In An On Demand World.

We live in an instant world. We have to have it now. The same is true for movies, which brings us to the wonderful world of On Demand.

Choosing to watch movies On Demand has eliminated the weekly trip to the video store, not to mention the hassle of returning the movies. I watch On Demand on satellite TV from tvbydirect.com, which is a great option for me since I enjoy a lot of movies.

On Demand has a unique advantage in that many movies are available the same day as they come out on DVD and Blu-ray. As for myself, On Demand is great because sometimes I am in the mood to sample the latest movies, other times I want to go a little retro and enjoy some great flicks from the past.

On Demand is also great for families, since a selection of movies for the major holiday seasons is usually offered. This includes a nice sampling of Halloween and Christmas movies.

You don't have to be a movie buff to love On Demand. Even a casual movie fan or those just looking for something to entertain the kids can reap the benefits of On Demand. It's an On Demand world today and I for one am glad to be living in it.

So Much For This Friday.

This past Friday I had planned on riding to Massachusetts with a few friends to see the Redsox game that was going on, it just so happened that my boss so kindly made me work till 6:00 that night. I tried everything to make my boss realize that this was my one and only opportunity to go to a professional baseball game, I worked all the time and had kids. How could it get any harder. But it didn't cut it. First off he was not a baseball fan and second he could care less about my wants. 

So I got home around 6:30 and walked into a dark living room with candles burning everywhere and quietness that could kill. The TV flicked on a few moments later and the game was on! Since I had missed the game my wife had recorded it with TIVO on our satellite  TV from www.directstartv.com. How awesome is she for doing that? I couldn't have been more appreciative, after a long day at work at a back breaking job, I thought I might just deserve something like this. And apparently she did to. Thank you so much hunny, it ended up  being better than the real thing. Almost. Pin It Now!

Fringe Fills My Sci-Fi Void.

It has been a long time since I found a science fiction program that I enjoy watching. Fringe fills the void perfectly for me and I love finding it on my direct tv channel guide. A great hour-long show gives me a chance to delve into the unknown. I love the interaction between Walter and Peter. I especially enjoyed last season when they gave me hope that I will see Peter and Olivia together as a couple. My husband and I religiously watch this show and love the quality of the picture better when it is in HD. 

The cliffhanger at the end of last season proves to me that the writers of this show have not run out of ideas. The alternate universes and the ability to travel between realms really fascinate me. I hope that Walter and Peter will find the real Olivia before the end of next season. I do not think I can wait an entire season for a reunion between Peter and Olivia. I am also ecstatic, because Peter chose to believe Walter and come back with him. The writing on Fringe and the actors continue to draw viewers. I will continue to watch this show weekly and enjoy every minute of exploring all the possibilities of our universe.

I love comedy shows. My favorite comedies always seem to air on NBC. I loved The Cosby Show, The Golden Girls and The Torkelsons when I was a kid. Right now, my favorite current comedy show is Community. They've renewed the show for a second season, and I can't wait to see season two. I watch the show on my satellite tv business packages and record every episode on my DVR.

The show is about a group of students at a community college in Colorado. Joel McHale plays the lead role. I remember him from The Soup. He's hilarious, especially his facial expressions. He plays a lawyer who lost his license and is starting all over at community college. He meets some interesting characters, one of which he has a crush on. Chevy Chase is also on the show. Chevy is great as usual. He always does well in comedic roles.

I am currently a student at a community college in Georgia, so I relate to the show because I'm an adult student. It's tough to balance full-time work, a family, and school. Though the show is a comedy, I see my real-life drama in a couple of the students... Pin It Now!
