Now that Christmas is over the sales are even better!  Which is a good thing for us Latinos that celebrate The Three Kings day/Tres Reyes Magos, January 6.  I remember when I was a kid I would only get one present for Christmas and the rest for the Three Kings Day.  We didn't like waiting that long but we were used to it.  Plus it meant our holidays were longer and we loved that!  I'm sorry to say I didn't kept the tradition with my kids and now that I think about it it makes me sad.  I hope there are other families out there that do keep the tradition even if their kids were born here...

Merry Christmas/Feliz Navidad!  Can't believe is Christmas already.  I cooked our pernil yesterday so today all I have to do is warm up everything, make potato salad and enjoy the day.  We are staying in, we rented some movies (District 9, Latest Harry Potter and Four Christmases) and my son doesn't want to go out because he wants to play his new video game.  I'm totally ok with that!  We can go out Saturday or Sunday, he, he. 

Our Christmas Eve and Christmas so far has been full of joy.  I was able to surprise mis hijos with the presents, they had no idea.  To see the look on their faces when they saw their presents was priceless.  That alone made my day, my weekend, my holidays!  I am so very thankful to have a roof over our heads, food, health and to in the end by the grace of Dios give mis hijos/my kids a joyful Christmas.  

I hope everyone is enjoying their Christmas wherever they are.  Que gozen muchos de sus parrandas pero/enjoy the partying but don't drink and drive mi gente.  Cuídensen/be safe...wepaaa!♥x♥x

I meant to post these pictures yesterday but had a horrible migraine that wouldn't go away even after taking two Advil.  Had to take a nap that turned into 2 hours but the headache was finally gone and was able to do the things I needed to do. Even made dinner that turned out delish. Earlier I had planned to cook a pizza if my migraine wouldn't get better, glad it went away!

We got some snow although not as much as I wanted.  I wanted snow like Washington DC got, he, he.  Maybe next time, we are just starting!  I took some pictures with my webcam out the window because my daughter went out that day and took the digital one.  I was hoping since she went to the movies in the city she would take some pictures but she forgot about having the camera.  Would've been nice though. 

Anyway, here are the pictures I took.  As you can see it wasn't much but good enough I guess, lol.  The streets were deserted with the occasional passerby and some supers cleaning the front of their buildings. By the afternoon the next day the street was cleaned up and it didn't looked pretty anymore.  I feel sorry for the one who had to clean the car in that last picture!  Now to wait for the next snow storm if we ever get another one that is.  Happy Monday to everyone...♥

My New Hair Color & PhotoHunt!

Finally dyed my hair with the help of my daughter but there was a bit of a problem.  When I bought it I didn't remember that I was going to dye all my hair and not just the roots so I got only one box.  As I'm starting to do my hair that's when I realized this is not going to be enough.  Had to ask my daughter to run out and get another box.  She wasn't happy at all but went anyway and I told her I was very grateful she did even though I had to wait until she took a shower, got dressed, left and came back to keep dying my hair, lol.  I thought my hair is going to fall out after all this waiting!  It didn't turned out perfect but looks good enough for me and I love the new color.  The color is R68 from Loreal Feria.  Makes me feel purty!

My Christmas tree is not up yet.  Tried looking for it and couldn't find it in the messy hallway closet!  I know where the lights are but not the tree so I left it alone.  I did put my clingies on the window and sprayed snow around them.  They look cute!  By Sunday though my Christmas tree will be up so our cat can lay underneath and sleep.  He loves doing that, hell I even like sleeping with it on.  It's relaxing...*blushes*

Now on to my PhotoHunt.  This week's theme is fast.  I found two pictures and decided to use them both.  The one with the airplane was taken by son last year when we went with my daughter for her to register in College.  The College she goes to is across the Hudson River, great place to take pictures.  We took lots of them that day, I'll post some on another post.  The other one I took it while waiting for the train of course, lol.  If you would like to join the PhotoHunt fun click on the link.  Happy Saturday to everyone and don't get stuck outside in the snow!♥

Long Time No See!

Sorry I haven't updated my Blog in some time.  Was sick with the flu and it has taken me a long time to get back to normal.  I'm taking meds (well was because I ran out) so I didn't wanted to take anything for the flu.  Too many risks, I decided it was best to stick it out.  Ran out of my meds over a week ago and can't get refills until I see my doctor which I haven't been able to do because well, I have been sick.  I don't notice the withdrawal symptoms much but when I go out that's when it hits me big time.  I can't see my doctor until next week so yay for me.  Have to keep walking around with brain zaps, my anxiety creeping up, etc.  

Anyway, I am trying to get into the Christmas spirit as you can see in my header, lol.  Still haven't been able to do that here.  Our tree is not up yet, bought some clingies for the windows and those are not up either.  I love this time of year but because of personal problems I just can't get in the mood.  Then when I start feeling down I feel guilty because there are others who have it worse.  I keep going back and forth, I'm hoping after I write this post and put it up for the whole world to see I will snap out of it and enjoy what I have even if it is very little.

Now I need to pry myself away from this computer because I bought a box of hair dye to beautify myself a bit, something I haven't done in over a year!  My daughter is in a so so mood, this is my opportunity to ask her to help me with it.  Enjoy your evening or morning, whichever the case may be!♥

Happy Saturday, well now is happy, earlier not so much, lol.  Had an appointment, when I went to take a shower there was no hot water, I was so pissed.  An hour before my appointment that's when the hot water started coming in.  Took a shower, got dressed and then to wait for my son to finish.  He took forever so I had to take a taxi and even then got there half hour late!  Thank God she saw me anyway. 

While I was getting dressed I was sweating so I didn't wore my coat, just a shirt and a thick sweater.  We get outside and it was freezing!  I needed to do some errands but couldn't do them all because it was too cold, it was raining and then it started snowing!  As a result of the rain, cold and snow, nature started calling, lol.  Had to come home.  Now, I'm cooking baked ziti and garlic bread (from the supermarket).  Then to eat and watch Star Trek or Transformer 2!  Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend...♥♥

This week flew by, can't believe today is Friday already.  Not that I'm complaining but that means the Holidays are going to be over soon and I like the Holidays even though we don't do much and this year we will be doing less.  I like the spirit, people are nice (although there is always a Bitch or two) and I enjoy the Christmas lights.  Haven't been to the city to see the tree and the window displays, hopefully we will go this weekend and take tons of pictures!  I'll share some of course.

6. Kids are funny sometimes and say the darndest things, but it's ok because they are kids and they are so adorable. A two year old is cute when they say a swear word. Admit it, they are. 7. Most of us have some type of machine that people like to call 'vehicles'. Some are blue, some are yellow, some are red. Some have trunks, some have beds and some even can't decide if they are a car or a truck. We put gas in them, check the oil and drive them all over the place and stop them in places called parking spots. Picture in your mind the machine you currently own and if you own more than one, picture the one you last drove - when was the last time you had a new tire on it?

11. Butterfly, butterfly fluttering through the air, please don't land on my freshly washed hair. What brand of shampoo did you use this morning? (and for those of you who still stink.. think of yesterday morning... and if that still doesn't apply to you - go get your stinky butt in the shower!)

I got this in an email and I thought it was hilarious.  It might be an oldie I don't know but wanted to share, lol.  Have a laugh!♥

DAMN FINE EXPLANATION

The wife came home early and found her husband in their bedroom making love to a very attractive young woman.

And she was somewhat upset. 'You are a disrespectful pig!' she cried. 'How dare you do this to me -- a faithful wife, the mother of your children! I'm leaving you.. I want a divorce right away!'

And the husband replied, 'Hang on just a minute love so at least I can tell you what happened.' 'Fine, go ahead,' she sobbed,' but they'll be the last words you'll say to me!'

And the husband began -- 'Well, I was getting into the car to drive home, and this young lady here asked me for a lift. She looked so down and out and defenseless that I took pity on her and let her into the car..

I noticed that she was very thin, not well dressed and very dirty. She told me that she hadn't eaten for three days.

So, in my compassion, I brought her home and warmed up the enchiladas I made for you last night, the ones you wouldn't eat because you're afraid you'll put on weight. The poor thing devoured them in moments.

Since she needed a good clean-up, I suggested a shower, and while she was doing that, I noticed her clothes were dirty and full of holes, so I threw them away.

Then, as she needed clothes, I gave her the designer jeans that you have had for a few years, but don't wear because you say they are too tight.

I also gave her the underwear that was your anniversary present, which you don't wear because I don't have good taste.

I found the sexy blouse my sister gave you for Christmas that you don't wear just to annoy her, and I also donated those boots you bought at the expensive boutique and don't wear because someone at work has a pair the same.'

The husband took a quick breath and continued - 'She was so grateful for my understanding and help that as I walked her to the door, she turned to me with tears in her eyes and said,
